Unfortunately the OPTASE Moist Heat Mask can not be heated in an oven or a steamer, as it is specifically designed for microwave heating only. Do not attempt to heat the mask by submerging it in hot water or using any other heating method, as this may damage the product or reduce its performance.
Make sure your microwave and the turntable is dry as well as free from dirt and grease before heating the OPTASE® Moist Heat Mask. Place the OPTASE® Moist Heat Mask lying flat in the middle of the turntable and check that it can rotate freely, this will ensure that the heat is spread evenly. You can place the mask on a paper plate with either side facing up, but ensure it lies completely flat for even heat distribution.
Microwave the OPTASE® Moist Heat Mask for 25 seconds in an 800W microwave. Always touch the mask with fingers first to test the temperature before applying to closed eyes. If necessary, allow the Moist Heat Mask to cool for 1 minute and re-test. For additional heat, microwave for 5 seconds. When applying the mask, place the plain white side directly against your eyelids.
Do not leave the OPTASE® Moist Heat Mask unattended whilst heating in the microwave. After heating, the mask may appear moist, but once applied, skin should not feel damp or wet. If you accidentally overheat the mask, the beads inside may burst or burn. Carefully inspect the mask for any signs of damage before use. If there are no visible signs of damage, the mask may still be usable, but if you notice any issues, it's recommended to replace the mask.
To clean, wipe with a damp cloth and a small amount of unscented soap if needed (never fully submerge in water), then let air dry completely for a minimum of 24 hours before next use. If the mask comes into contact with makeup, food, grease, or oil, spot clean immediately to prevent contamination. Regularly inspect your OPTASE® Moist Heat Mask and replace it if worn or damaged.
If your mask develops unexpected discoloration after heating, if there are signs of torn material or if it leaks hydrobeads stop using it immediately and contact our customer support team with details such as the microwave wattage, heating duration, and a photo of the discoloration or damage.
